David Beckham is out of the World Cup, but Fergie -- she's in.
The Black Eyed Peas, Shakira and Alicia Keys have been picked to headline the concert that kicks off the soccer competition.
The concert will take place on June 10, a day before the start of the month-long tournament, which is being held in Africa.

David Beckham was spotted hopping off a plane today in Finland where he underwent surgery on the Achillies tendon he ruptured this weekend during a soccer match in Italy.

David Beckham will not be playing in the World Cup -- and he's heading to Finland today to see a specialist after tearing his Achilles' tendon this weekend.
David's spokesman tells PEOPLE that he will likely have an operation tomorrow -- and Victoria will be flying in today to be by his side.
This would have been David's fourth World Cup.

David Beckham grabbed headlines in Milan after a woman from an Italian prank show grabbed his crotch -- carrying out a full-on sexual assault for what she thought would be a funny TV segment.
The video shows a "reporter" sneaking through a crowd and reaching down at an unsuspecting David Beckham. The woman then gropes his crotch -- in an attempt to see if he measured up to the Armani underwear ads.
Beckham was furious -- and security instantly swooped to forcibly remove the woman from the area. Still, she chased after the soccer star screaming about how she wanted to see his manhood.
The woman was not arrested and her footage eventually ran on her Italian TV show -- she thought the whole thing was a big joke.
But if the roles were reversed -- and it was a man grabbing a woman ... would the reporter have gotten away with it?

There's a reason David Beckham is rocking a "precautionary" walking boot on his right foot -- and it's not very precautionary at all.
TMZ has learned David is suffering from a "tender foot" -- a result of a "series of knocks" he took to the appendage after an MLS playoff match against Chivas USA earlier this month.
A rep from the L.A. Galaxy tells us the foot is already better, and he's "practicing with the team today ahead of Sunday's MLS Cup."
... whatever that is.

She came to watch the knights do battle -- but it was Posh Spice who delivered the death blow ... stiffing her waiter during a recent trip to Medieval Times.
Sources employed by the M.T. "kingdom" tell TMZ that Posh brought her children -- and a couple of bodyguards -- to enjoy a feast and a medieval show at the Buena Park, CA location this past Saturday night.
But before the jousting and the sword fighting came to a close, Posh and her crew left the show early -- and multiple sources tell us she didn't leave a tip for the server who took care of the group.
And now for the "Bad Medieval-Themed Closing Line of the Day" -- Looks like getting a tip from Posh is harder than pulling a sword from a stone!
Attempts to reach Posh's rep were unsuccessful.

"The Diesel" is looking to run right over David Beckham -- 'cause last night Shaquille O'Neal was trash talking like crazy, calling out the "scared" Galaxy star for refusing to accept his one-on-one soccer challenge. 
Quick recap: Shaq threw down the gauntlet on Becks, via Twitter, saying "u will never score a goal on me, I challenge you lil man." David responded by deflecting attention, telling press "I don't see him calling Kobe out ... I think Kobe could score against him."
But last night at the Sherman Oaks Galleria, Shaq took the smack talk to another level -- saying to Beckham, "There's no way you'd score on me ... how many goals did you score for the Galaxy?"
Shaq didn't just entertain our photog, dude shook hands and posed with every single fan who approached him ... and for the record, we've never seen Beckham do that.
